The protection of your personal data and your privacy is very important to us. We treat your personal data strictly confidential and in accordance with this privacy policy. With our hosting providers, we protect our databases to the best of our knowledge against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or falsification. We guarantee the necessary data security at all times.

This privacy statement provides you with an overview of how we process your personal data when you use the websites of the Selfie Hotel Pop-Up Museum at the Alpha Palmiers, Rue du Petit-Chêne 34, 1003 Lausanne (hereinafter "Selfie Hotel", "we" or "us").

It applies to all our websites, as well as to the services and performances offered by us on these websites and in the online shop.

 

Which personal data do we process?


We process personal data that is collected when you visit our website exclusively for the purpose stated during processing and on the basis of legal regulations.

We only collect your personal data if you voluntarily provide it to us as part of an online order in our online shop, via the contact form or when registering for the newsletter. An exception applies in those cases where obtaining prior consent is not possible for actual reasons and the processing of personal data is permitted by legal regulations.

 

While you are using our websites, we process the following personal data from you:

  • Your personal data such as your surname, first name, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address;
  • Your communication data, namely your IP address, the operating system you use, your browser ID     and browser activity, and other information about how you have interacted with our websites or     other websites;
  • Your payment data such as credit card details, IBAN and BIC or account numbers, and credit rating data.

 

For what purposes do we use your personal data?


We only process your personal data to the extent it is necessary for functional purposes of the website and for the performance and execution of the ticket purchases. In connection with the performance and execution of the contract, we process your personal data in particular (i) to enable you to select and order the selected products and services, as well as execute their payment and delivery, and (ii) to inform you about the order process or to contact you in the event of any questions. If you register for a newsletter, we will only use your e-mail address for our own advertising purposes.

 

How long will your personal data be stored?


Your personal data will be processed and stored for as long as it is necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected and to fulfil our contractual or legal obligations. Your personal data may be stored beyond this period if this is expressly provided for by national or international law to which we are subject to. After the shopping process has been cancelled, the personal data stored by us will be deleted. In the event of the conclusion of a contract, all personal data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the expiry of the retention period under tax law (up to 10 years). Other personal data, such as name, postal address, goods purchased and date of purchase are stored until the expiry of the material and legal warranty as well as the product liability (up to 10 years). We use your e-mail address for our own advertising purposes until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time. The unsubscribing link can be found at the end of each newsletter. If you have created a separate customer account, this account and the personal data stored in it will remain valid until you deactivate it.

 

How are your payment details transferred?


We use a secure online transmission method "Secure Socket Layer" (SSL) transmission, for the payment process in order to process your personal data. All information transmitted using this method is encrypted at a high level (at least 128 bits - up to 256 bits for common browsers) before it is sent to us. This ensures that no unauthorized person can use your personal data.

 

Is your personal data shared with third parties?


We may transfer the personal data we collect from you, for any of the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, to third parties we engage to maintain our websites and the services and benefits we provide in other countries, including countries outside of Switzerland or the European Union, which may not have data protection laws or may not have data protection laws comparable to those in Switzerland. By using our websites, you consent to such transfer.

The transfer to third parties in Switzerland or abroad will only take place on the basis of contractual agreements that comply with the applicable legal requirements and ensure adequate data protection of your personal data at all times.

Plugins of the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, are integrated on our websites. When you visit our websites, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server via the plugin. Facebook thereby receives the information that you have visited our website with your IP address. This allows Instagram to associate your visit to our websites with your Instagram user account. Vimeo


We use the provider Vimeo for the integration of videos. Vimeo is operated by Vimeo, LLC with headquarters at 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011.

Each time you visit a website that offers one or more video clips, a direct connection is established between your browser and a Vimeo server. It transmits the web pages you have visited to the Vimeo server. If you are logged in as a Vimeo member, Vimeo assigns this information to your personal user account. When using the plugin, such as clicking on the start button of a video, this information is also assigned to your user account. You can prevent this assignment by logging out of your Vimeo user account before using our website and deleting the corresponding cookies from Vimeo.

Are cookies set?


Our websites use so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device.
